On Canada Day, StellaEats App Public Beta Launch with “1000 Meals of Dignity” Campaign to Make Food Safer for Underserved Communities.

Hamilton-based app empowers individuals with dietary restrictions to safely discover local, clean-label foods and inclusive food brands.

Hamilton, ON — June 13, 2025Aeon Stellar Commerce Inc. announces the public beta launch of its flagship platform StellaEats on July 1, 2025 in British Columbia & Ontario, alongside the launch of its first impact campaign, “1000 Meals of Dignity.” The goal: raise $30,000 in six weeks to provide free access and support for 1,000 underserved individuals navigating dietary restrictions.

Built by Filipino immigrant technologist and caregiver Primie Cegnar, StellaEats was inspired by her own husband’s health battles – from a heart attack, long-time battle with diabetes & aggressive pancreatic cancer last September 2024. She recognized and understood the food challenges faced by other communities as well. The solution grew out of both heartbreak and hope.

StellaEats is a digital food discovery platform designed to help people with food allergies, autoimmune conditions, and other chronic dietary needs safely find trusted foods—from Canadian clean-label consumer brands to culturally inclusive small-batch makers. 

“This isn’t just an app—it’s a lifeline for people who feel left behind in today’s food systems,” says Cegnar.


Launching July 1: Platform Features

At launch, users can:

  • Create a personalized account and build a safe dietary profile.
  • Discover clean-label Canadian food brands verified for allergens, dietary filters, and values.
  • Mark favourite local brands and products for easy planning on meals, lunchboxes and other occasions.
  • Message or inquire directly to participating CPG stores through the app.
  • Access community events hosted by StellaEats and partner vendors.

Several Canadian allergy-friendly and culturally diverse brands are participating in the initial beta launch with our vendor partners. These include Alkeme Foods, How to Bloom, Gheeliscious, and Allergy Eatables. Nud Fud was subsequently added, and Wise Bites is joining soon.

A future release will introduce AI-powered search and predictive nutrition tools to improve personalized food discovery based on symptoms, lifestyle, and restrictions.


About the Campaign: “1000 Meals of Dignity”

To coincide with the July 1 app launch, StellaEats is launching the “1000 Meals of Dignity” campaign to raise $30,000 in 6 weeks. This fund will support onboarding, education, and platform access for 1,000 individuals from underserved communities—including low-income families, seniors, students, and newcomers disproportionately impacted by food access and chronic health issues.

“Too many people live in fear of food labels. Some skip meals. Others feel excluded from healthy spaces,” says Cegnar.
“This campaign allows us to welcome 1,000 people into a safer, more inclusive food system—right from their phones.”
